Kamala Harris basically stole the Democratic ticket. Once Biden stepped away, she stepped up. And even though she was consistently ranked one of the worst VPs in modern history, the Democrats chose to blindly follow her. So now, they Dems have a person running for president that no one ever wanted or even liked.
 

It all came down to who she would choose as her VP. 6 people were being vetted for the position:
 

• Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro

• Arizona Senator Mark Kelly

• Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg

• Minnesota Governor Tim Walz

• Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear

• Illinois Governor JB Pritzker

Early Tuesday morning, Governor Walz was announced as her vice presidential pick. Many thought this wouldn’t happen—he’s too old and doesn’t poll well because of his extremely liberal views. Harris sees him as a solid choice because he’s a former member of the US Army National Guard and is a former teacher. He also jumped at the opportunity to attack Trump and call Vance “weird” like so many other Democrats.
