Emmy & Grammy nominated Kevin Hart brings his ninth standup special “Acting My Age” to Bass Concert Hall in 2025. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he launched his career as a comedian during an amateur night at a local comedy club. Over the years Hart has become Hollywood’s box office powerhouse, opening eleven films at number one at the box office and grossing more than in $4.23 billion global revenue. This year, Kevin received the Kennedy Center’s annual Mark Twain Prize for American Comedy, he was the 25th recipient and the youngest honoree to date.

Branford Marsalis continues to thrill audiences around the world while racking up achievements, even after four decades in the international spotlight. From his initial recognition as a young jazz lion, he has expanded his vision as an instrumentalist, composer, and educator, crossing stylistic boundaries while maintaining unwavering creativity. In the process, he has become a symbol of artistic excellence, winning three Grammy Awards, a Tony nomination for his work as a composer on Broadway, a citation by the National Endowment for the Arts as a Jazz Master, and a 2021 Primetime Emmy nomination.
In this special performance, Branford will be joined by students of UT’s premiere jazz ensemble, the Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Diego Rivera.
