Team, before her rally right here in Philadelphia, Kamala Harris announced her running mate — Minnesota Governor Tim Walz! I’m honored to attend their first event together as our ticket today and I’m more energized than ever to show up and deliver them a path to victory. And of course, help guarantee a Blue Wave in PA!

Governor Walz is a one-of-a-kind leader. From his outstanding military service and his experience as an educator, to his ability to marshall support and pass meaningful legislation through his years in public service — Walz’s background is the foundation of his character and values. He’s also just a kind, funny, tough, hardworking leader who’s ready to fight hard for Vice President Harris and the Democratic vision. I’m confident he is going to make a fantastic Vice President.

It’s been a long time since we’ve felt positive energy like what we have coming from our Democratic ticket. And it’s a stark contrast to the fearful vision MAGA Republicans have offered to Americans with a ticket and message that’s often just – Gov. Walz said it best – weird. With our nominees, Americans feel like they have something to vote FOR.

So now with our ticket set, it’s time to turn toward November.

I’m fired up and ready to show up and support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in this fight for our future. I also know I have a responsibility to help carry PA-04 and the Philly suburbs for Democrats up and down the ballot.
