Public school teachers have a special place in my heart — but that’s not the only reason I’m very happy with Governor Tim Walz as Vice President Harris’ running mate.
As a former public school teacher, a veteran, and one of the most effective governors in America, he has a strong track record of putting government on the side of working families.
Just look at the bills he’s signed in Minnesota. Capping the cost of insulin at $35. Ensuring paid family and medical leave. Protecting the right to an abortion. Requiring universal background checks for gun purchases. Providing free breakfast and lunch for public school students. The list goes on and on.
And we know that Governor Walz fights from the heart. As someone whose family relied on Social Security survivor benefits after his father passed away, who went to college on the GI Bill, and whose family was able to access reproductive health care like IVF, he knows how our government can give people a fighting chance and protect our freedoms.
Today, we get to celebrate the terrific choice that Vice President Harris just made. And for the next 91 days, we’ve got to do everything we can to help this ticket win so we can keep making big, structural change for working families in our country.
I'm all in for Harris-Walz, and I’m running for re-election to fight by their side for working families in 2025 and beyond. Can you split a contribution of $28 or any amount between the Harris-Walz team and my re-election campaign today to help power us to victory? |
