I am proud
to be the second AAPI Attorney General in the history of California. The
first was Kamala Harris.

Harris is a trailblazer. And I don’t mean that as a vague political
platitude. In California, she has opened countless doors — and I have
personally walked through them. When I became Deputy City Attorney in San
Francisco, I moved into Harris’ old office. Years later, I had the honor
to follow in her footsteps when I became Attorney General of our great
state.

I came up watching her run — and win — in election after election. Harris
has the experience, expertise, and energy to defeat Donald Trump in
November and lead our nation forward.

As a prosecutor, as Attorney General, and as our Senator, she spent years
fighting for the fundamental freedoms of all Californians. As Vice
President, she did the same for all Americans. Now, we must make sure she
can continue that fight from the Oval Office.

This is Harris’ first big move as our presumptive Democratic nominee. I
think it’s a fantastic one, and I hope you feel the same
way. As
Governor of Minnesota, Walz has ushered in bills to provide universal
school meals, strengthen labor protections, legalize cannabis, protect
LGBTQ+ individuals, achieve 100% clean energy by 2030, and more!
