Friend,

Today marks 59 years since the Voting Rights Act was signed into law. This landmark legislation was pivotal in dismantling the barriers to voting for millions of Americans, ensuring fair and equal access to the ballot. But in recent years, these protections have been under attack.

That’s why today, our Executive Director Anna Chu authored a piece in Law360 outlining the unique role that lawyers can play in fighting back against these voter suppression efforts. At We The Action, our volunteers have been at the forefront of this fight, using their legal expertise to defend and advance voting rights. Today, we are reminded that our work is far from over.

JOIN THE VOTER VANGUARD
We hope you’ll take a moment to read the piece today. Then, ask a friend to join you in signing up for the Voter Vanguard. As we honor this anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, our commitment to protecting these hard-won rights remains unwavering. Thank you for being part of this community. Whether you’re a regular volunteer or just signing up for your first project, your participation is vital in ensuring fair access to the ballot box for all.

Cheers to the work yet to come.
