Governor Walz is a smart, decent, and universally respected leader. He will be a great addition to the Democratic ticket led by Kamala Harris. Gov. Walz has strong values built upon his background as an educator, father, and midwesterner. His decades of service in the military, Congress, local politics, and deep community work have strengthened his resiliency and ability to be a leader who gets things done.
Not only that, but Gov. Walz is a loving family man, a sports fan, a food lover, a people person, and a tough, no-nonsense talker who is absolutely ready to stand up for Vice President Harris and our Democratic vision for the future. He just gets it.
I can go on and on singing the praises of our new VP candidate — luckily I have the honor of welcoming the new Harris/Walz ticket to Philly later today followed by months hitting the campaign trail so you can be sure I’ll share more soon…but right now, I want to pivot and highlight the new picture that’s emerging for Democrats across the country: Polling is shifting, momentum is on our side, and fundraising + volunteer sign-ups are skyrocketing. So I have to ask:

It’s community - and sanity! - versus chaos. Democracy versus dictatorship. The future versus the past.
It’s also becoming abundantly clear that Pennsylvania is a major player in the path to victory for either side. I am emboldened to do all I can to defeat the GOP and their Project 2025. I know there are a lot of distractions right now, but I am counting on you to be by my side and help carry my district and keep it blue up and down the ballot.
Everything we do on the campaign trail will have a ripple effect for the rest of the Democratic slate. I will work hard to make sure we deliver PA in November. Will you?
