What an exciting morning! Today, Kamala Harris announced that her official VP nominee is Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Walz is a veteran who served in the National Guard for 24 years, retiring in 2005. During his time in the Guard, he was also a public school teacher and football coach. Walz began his political career in 2006, running for Minnesota's 1st Congressional District. He went on to serve in that role for five terms before running for Governor in 2018. Throughout his career, he has been a steadfast advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, gun violence prevention, and accessible healthcare for all. We are excited about the new VP nominee and we can't wait to see them kick off their tour tonight in Philly!!
