From an enviable list of potential running mates to join her ticket, after a whirlwind two weeks of meetings and deliberations, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris announced that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will accompany her on what’s certain to be both a sprint and a marathon to November 5th.

Jamie Raskin praised Walz as “a rock star to veterans, teachers, football players, and common-sense Americans.” Every other candidate on the Vice President’s shortlist added to the choir of positive sentiment for Walz, making evident that—no matter the formation—the strongest leaders of the pro-democracy movement are prepared to support the Harris-Walz ticket.
