It’s official—Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the Democratic ticket for the 2024 presidential election.
If you’re not familiar with the Minnesota Governor, here’s why we’re so excited about him:
*He’s a democracy champion who helped restore voting rights for over 55,000 formerly incarcerated Minnesotans, established automatic voter registration, and created a permanent absentee voter list in the state. Governor Walz also signed the Minnesota Voting Rights Act, ensuring that Minnesotans of color can continue to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
*He’s a staunch defender of reproductive freedoms, signing the Reproductive Freedom Defense Act into law and ensuring that patients traveling to Minnesota for abortion care, and the providers who serve them, are shielded from legal attacks from other states.
*As Minnesota governor, he implemented free school meals and added pre-K seats, all while JD Vance was supporting Project 2025 and its plan to cut Head Start and free school lunches.
This is the kind of energy we need to bring into the White House in January 2025.
