THIS JUST IN: Kamala Harris has chosen Tim Walz as her running mate!
We now have our official Democratic ticket for the 2024 election, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll tell you why, but first, will you help us send a message of unity nationwide by chipping in to support the DLGA?
When Tim Walz was first elected governor of Minnesota, his running mate became the highest-ranking elected Native American woman in the country and the first woman of color to be elected to a statewide office in Minnesota. She also happens to be our very own DLGA chair, Peggy Flanagan!
Now, Tim Walz is helping elect Kamala Harris as the first Black woman president!
This news reminds us just how impactful our work is. Thanks to your support, we’re able to get the message out from our Lieutenant Governors about the incredible work they do for their constituents. Peggy Flanagan is one of the reasons why Tim Walz has been so successful as governor of Minnesota — which is also why he was selected!
