Kamala Harris just selected Tim Walz as her running mate, and as longtime backers, VoteVets could not be more proud of him.

We were proud to endorse and put our own resources behind Tim in his first congressional race — back when no one thought the seat was winnable, Tim flipped it. Watching him win, time after time, even through down periods for Democrats, has been inspirational.

So have the last few weeks, as the rest of the country has seen what we have always seen in Tim — a decent, down to earth man who puts service to his country and his community above himself. Connecting across the aisle, but delivering on our values and our priorities. A high school football coach, a teacher, a National Guardsman, a neighbor.

Tim Walz is one of the best, and Kamala Harris has the right person on her six. This is the most formidable ticket Democrats have had in years.
