August is National Make A Will Month. Here's why that matters:

Having an updated will in place helps you exercise control over important decisions—ensuring your chosen family and friends are cared for, and that your values are upheld.

We know that lack of estate planning documentation is leveraged by institutions and individuals to further discriminate against queer and trans folks.

In your will, you can also provide guidance for how you want to be remembered, affirming the use of your correct name and pronouns.

We partner with FreeWill to offer our TLC community a simple, no-cost way to create a legal will, which typically takes less than 20 minutes. 

There’s also the option to include Transgender Law Center in your plans if you choose, joining our circle of 200+ Legacy Donors.
