Dear Friend,

For people living with Alzheimer's disease or another
dementia, art and music are not just an entertaining way to pass the
time. Expressing oneself through art or music can bring joy, stress
relief, as well as provide bonding experiences with loved ones.

That's why the Alzheimer's Association
created Music Moments. Featuring a slate of award-winning artists
sharing stories and songs, Music Moments offers a rare glimpse into
the emotional connection between music and the moments in life that we
never want to lose. Watch our video from SXSW 2022 and to hear just
how powerful music can be.

"A lot of times things seem insurmountable," says Lee Ann
Womack, who performs in Music Moments, "and then you hear a great song
and all of a sudden you feel like, 'OK, this is doable. This is
something that we can handle.'"

By supporting our work, you are helping us reach our
constituents and loved ones with ways to enhance their lives. But we

The Kahlert Foundation, a Maryland based family foundation,
has pledged $160,000 to the Alzheimer's Association to support
Alzheimer's research and programs and outreach initiatives at their
local chapter - but only if we can raise that same amount by
August 16. Any gift you make today, up to a total of $160,000 can be
matched to advance critical research efforts and help provide care and
support.
