Friend,
Our reporting for Season 3 has halted… but this is not a time for silence. So we're back with a multi-part special report: Coronavirus in the Delta.
We can't report Season 3 right now because we aren't able to travel or even get a lot of the public records we need. Once the public health situation improves, we'll be back to reporting that story. We are also continuing to monitor Curtis Flowers' case, as we wait to see if he'll be tried for a seventh time.
Many news outlets have lost ad revenue and are laying off staff and scaling back as a result. As a public media program, we are not immune to this tough economic time. This is the biggest challenge we've ever faced.
What sets us apart is your support.

GIVE NOW
When you and thousands of listeners give what you can, we have a stronger foundation.

I'll be blunt: Right now, we need you to give generously, whatever that means for you.
Despite the uncertainty we face financially, we're digging in, working from our homes and recording interviews on our phones in our bedrooms.
Over the past couple months I've heard from people I met when I lived in Mississippi, not about Curtis Flowers, but about the virus. We've been gathering stories about people living through this unique time of fear and anxiety. We wanted to look at how life has changed, yes, for a nurse in the ICU or a doctor in the ER… but also for a football coach… a musician… a pastor… and a man in prison.
The result is an intimate narrative from one of the poorest and most overlooked places in the entire country.
As always, In the Dark is free to everyone, but if you are in a position to donate right now, we're counting on you.
