Washington, D.C. voters will weigh in on a pro-voting ballot measure in November that would allow independent voters to participate in party primaries and implement a ranked choice voting system, starting with the June 2026 primary election. Read more in Democracy Docket’s ballot initiatives guide.
The “Make All Voters Count DC” campaign collected signatures for the citizen-initiated measure, and the D.C. Elections Board verified the signature count on Friday.
