Fellow Conservative,

Washington is still under a stay-in-place order, but congressmen returned to the city to pass important legislation—$310 billion in additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program.

But congressmen aren’t the only ones with important work to return to. There are millions of Americans with jobs to do and lives to live.

We are calling on Governors to “Open American Society.” Please join and sign the petition to affirm:

  1. Americans should be free to travel, and governors should only implement stay-in-place orders in a targeted manner to address a specific, local need.
  2. Businesses should be open to the public, and governors should apply limited restrictions only where COVID-19 incidences are high.
  3. Americans should be responsible for getting themselves tested as needed, and governors should ensure testing is targeted to specific outbreaks.

Americans are exceptional—time after time, they rise to the occasion:

Allow families to leave their homes, and they will serve their community.

Allow people to reopen businesses, and they will overwhelmingly make wise choices.

The time has come. Let’s reopen America.

Add your name to the petition.

On Friday, the President signed into law an additional $310 billion dollars for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). This money will ensure small businesses can continue paying their employees during forced closures and the economic turmoil they cause.

Conservatives did the right thing and rejected Democrats' calls to add massive bailout spending for state governments.

States have already received billions in funding to address the coronavirus, and so it is completely unwarranted to provide blue states with a massive bailout for the debt that they accumulated through years of reckless spending.

On Monday evening, Heritage Action will be hosting a special call with Representative Trey Hollingsworth for Heritage Action Sentinels to discuss the economic impact of stay-at-home orders.

We’d love for you to join in! If you’re looking to stay informed on what’s happening in Washington and what you can do about it, then we invite you to join the Heritage Action Sentinel Program.

Special Guest - Rep. Trey Hollingsworth

Thank you for another week of activism. We’re still hearing so many great stories about the work you are doing to serve your local communities. Keep doing good and keep sharing your stories—thank you!
