Hey everybody, it’s Travis again. Writing to let you know that tomorrow is our first stop on our PACT Act tour. And this is the mockup of the wrap we’ll have on our bus:
Look — we’re doing this because we know that the PACT Act is going to decide elections this November. It means something. And I’m hoping you’ll chip in to help us fill up the gas tank on this bus and keep it going.
How about it: Can you chip in $5 to help support VoteVets and our PACT Act bus tour?

JOHN, it’s Travis with VoteVets.
By this point you’ve probably heard of the PACT Act. And if you’ve been with VoteVets for a while, you’ve definitely heard of it. If you’ve got a minute, would you let me explain why the PACT Act is going to be so important this year, and what we are going to do to make sure it’s top of mind when Veterans go to the polls in November?
For generations, the men and women who served our country around the world suffered toxic exposures. From Agent Orange in Vietnam to burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan. And for generations, Veterans went without the care they needed to handle the impacts of those toxic exposures. Many of you are Veterans like me, or you come from Military Families. We know these folks.
Year after year, Congress after Congress, bills went up to provide this care. Year after year, Republicans shot it down. Trump talked a big game — he never got it done. But President Biden’s son was one of the Vets who suffered and died after a toxic exposure. This was a priority for him. It took a coalition led by the President, Democrats, VoteVets, and our allies to get the PACT Act across the finish line last year, and even that came after Republicans in the Senate shot it down and dragged their feet.
It took too long. We lost too many of our brothers and sisters to get here, but we got it done — and that matters. To quote the President, "it’s a Big F’ing Deal". As of today more than a million claims have been filed and granted and more are coming in all the time. The PACT Act was the right thing to do, but I’ll be damned if we don’t make sure that Veterans around the country know that it is Democrats who got this done while Republicans stood in the way.
Starting on August 6th, we’re going to be busing Veterans around the country to talk about the PACT Act. Coast to coast, we’re going to battleground states and districts to support our friends and allies in tough races — the leaders who got this done. The goal is to raise awareness, drive media, and bring Veterans and Military Families on side. We’re going to make some noise here, and we need your help to make sure people hear us.
Big programs like this are not cheap, but VoteVets is one of the only organizations in the country with the infrastructure, the knowledge, and the resources to make it happen. This will make a difference, but we need your help.
So, if this sounds like something you’d be willing to support and you’re ready to help out, I’m humbly asking you:
