I wanted to give you another quick update on our recount.

After more ballots were counted over the weekend, our gap is now down to just 67 votes! This race could truly come down to just a few votes.

Because this race is definitely going to a recount, we will need resources to fund our recount effort. If you haven’t already, would you please chip in to our recount fund?

Remember, if you’ve donated prior to the primary – even the max amount – you can still give to the recount fund. Let’s make sure every vote is counted and all our voices are heard!

Last night, after more votes were counted in our race, we pulled within 89 votes of our opponent. Just 89 votes! And we’re expecting more votes to be counted today. That means the work’s not over.

This weekend, we have all hands on deck, contacting voters who still have an opportunity to have their ballots counted. We’re also preparing for a recount because any election this close receives an automatic recount.

As Democrats, we believe that every vote should be counted and all voices must be heard – win or lose – and our campaign is going to ensure that happens. But to do that, we need resources for staff, volunteers, and, yes, even lawyers.
