Hello Jack -- On Tuesday, August 6th, Missourians will go to the polls to vote in the corporate party primaries and to vote on two constitutional amendments. We recommend that you ignore the corporate party primaries and choose the issues-only ballot. Vote NO on Amendment 1: This proposal will allow big chain corporate day care centers to avoid paying property taxes, and will not provide affordable child care for working families. It will reward corporate lobbyists while draining the resources that local municipalities need to provide basic services for the most vulnerable Missourians. Vote NO on Amendment 4: Local control of the KCPD is what is needed, not more interference from Jefferson City. Residents of Kansas City should determine how their city allocates their budget, not out-of-towners. Print this guide to hand out at polling places. It will print two per page, which you can cut.
