Supporting Wilderness-edge communities during the COVID-19 pandemic
While we continue to fight for the Boundary Waters, we know that we have friends and neighbors struggling as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt the lives of so many in our Wilderness-edge communities. There are two things you can do right now to help:
1. If you are able, please consider donating to the Ely Area Food Shelf or the Cook County Food Shelf in Grand Marais to help support the communities that support the Boundary Waters.
2. Additionally, Voyageur Outward Bound School (VOBS) is a partner of the Campaign located in Ely, MN. VOBS offers life-changing expeditions for everyone, regardless of social or economic status, race or gender, from struggling teens, to first generation urban youth, adults in transition or veterans integrating back into life outside of active duty. The world will need Outward Bound in the weeks, months and years to come. VOBS can give people the tools to thrive at home, in school and at work, but VOBS must weather the current storm.
