Last week, Sierra Club launched its Industrial Transformation campaign in grand fashion with a town hall with speakers from the White House, Department of Energy, and Congressman Ro Khanna! Our attendees were some of the first people to hear about Rep. Khanna’s new bill to clean up the steel industry. Now, we need your support to pass the Modern Steel Act!

We don't have to choose between good paying jobs, healthy communities, and a livable climate. The Modern Steel Act will promote green technologies that protect manufacturing jobs and greatly reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with steelmaking.

The United States has always been a big innovator, and together, we can support a second industrial revolution that promotes clean manufacturing while protecting our communities and our climate. We’ve already seen progress in Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Alabama. Rep. Ro Khanna’s new green steel bill would help grow this new technology nationwide.
