to attend the Green Party's Annual National Meeting Aug 15-18, 2024,
where we present a discussion panel with past and present state
level candidates. Followed by a Q&A, a moderator will lead
discussion:
- Tell us about your race,
what are you running for; -What is your why? What made you decide to run as a
green; -What is your how?
How does your campaign address the issues that you identify; -How do you translate the national green
party values and platform to a
local context; -How do you
work with local movements in coalitions; -What organizing goals do you have for after
the election; -What advice
do you have for other state and local Green Party candidates.
2024 Candidate Forum:
State Level Candidates, will take place virtually for
registered attendees on Friday, August 16, from 12 noon - 1:15 pm
(ET).

Green Party donors like you have allowed us to help these two
state governor candidates to make a difference
The donor community of the Green
Party US has made possible more than $15,000 in candidate grants
during the last twelve months to worthy Green Party
candidates.
Recently, the GPUS Coordinated
Campaign Committee awarded $1500 to two gubernatorial candidates in
North Carolina and Washington.

Wayne Turner for Governor, North
Carolina
Wayne is currently serving as a Co-Chair of the NC Green
Party, a committed leader who’s been giving his time and expertise to
the state party since its beginnings. Wayne lays out a detailed set of
reforms, as opposed to the way North Carolina has been governed by
the Democrats and Republicans, proposing sensible changes critical to
a good life and sustainable future for us all. We ask you to read
about his positions on his Platform page at www.agreenforgovernor.org,
and while you’re there, please volunteer or donate what
you can for Wayne’s campaign!
This is the opportunity we’ve been working toward – having a
Green voice in the governor’s race, challenging the Red-Blue gridlock
of the past to offer equitable solutions and forward-thinking ideas.
Our lives continue to be dramatically affected by policies directed by
the wealthy few, and old two-party politics simply remain lacking what
it will take to put human needs above their for-profit, special
interest designs.
We must keep up the pressure this year, no matter what dirty
dealings or dark money may be thrown at us again. We’re working people
working for change, knowing we’re in this fight because it never
mattered more than in these difficult times of struggle for people,
most of which have now become receptive to third-party alternatives.
We must resist the fear-tactics and bullying which is
done to try to hold us back!

Andre Stackhouse for Governor,
Washington
A #DemExiter after 2020, after protesting the Democratic Party's
refusal to restore Medicare For All back on its platform, Andre is a
highly-visible leader in Washington State lobbying for the issue.
(Medicare For All was removed from the Dem platform 30 years ago to
attract corporate funds; Andre is now at home in the right party on
this issue.) Andre also campaigns for tuition-free higher
education, a housing guarantee, and a living wage. Please learn more
about Andre's campaign from its website.
Andre currently is the Executive
Director of the 501(c)4 political nonprofit Whole Washington, an
organization best known for its advocacy of statewide universal
healthcare for Washington state. As campaign director of the statewide
I-1471 campaign, Stackhouse was the primary sponsor of The Washington
Health Trust, a statewide universal public healthcare proposal, as
introduced to the public as an Initiative to the
Legislature.
"Make Washington Affordable"
Andre Stackhouse's campaign for
Governor emphasizes a policy platform which he describes as
comprehensive, visionary, sensible, and achievable. Among the over
sixteen issues highlighted on the platform are universal public
healthcare, a housing guarantee, tuition-free continuing education
(including public universities, community colleges, and trade
programs), and a living wage adjusted annually based on geography and
cost of living.

Cash awards to worthy candidates
are granted by the GPUS Coordinated Campaign Committee. They are
possible because of grassroots donors like you. None of these funds
come from corporate or establishment interests. The funds come either
from annual Green Party US budget allocations or from your ongoing
direct contributions to the GPUS Coordinated Campaign Committee.
Coordinated Campaign Committee members are elected by the GPUS
National Committee to provide support to candidates.
Your contribution to either the
general funds of the Green Party of the United States or directly to
the Coordinated Campaign Committee allows us to support more great
candidates like Wayne and Andre, whose activism and campaigns make
positive contributions towards much-needed change in US
politics.
