The largest Republican donor in America threw nearly a million dollars into our Democratic primary, betting on a candidate they thought they could buy. We stood strong, rallied, and stopped them cold! But the fight isn’t over. It’s Cori's turn tomorrow, and she’s up against the same Republicans trying to buy their way into our primaries.
Why are Republicans so keen to back certain Democrats? It's simple and chilling: They think they can be bought. This is a HUGE RED FLAG. We’ve seen it before, and if we don’t act now, they’ll keep trying to buy election after election. This stops here. This stops with us, with you, and with every single donation we make to keep fighters like Cori Bush in Congress.
Right-wing billionaires have hand picked Cori’s opponent, Wesley Bell, to use as a Trojan horse for their extremist agenda. Bell eagerly complied. Now, Bell is the #1 recipient of AIPAC cash this cycle—receiving $3 million and counting. Almost 2/3 of all his donations come from AIPAC! 🚩
It's clear: Cori’s opponent would rather cater to ultra-wealthy Republican backers than fight for the people. We can’t just stand by and watch this happen. The people of St. Louis, and all our communities, deserve champions who will fight for them, not sell out to the highest bidder.
