BJS is hiring a Statistician (Social Science), GS-1530-11/12, with promotion potential to GS-14, to serve in the Statistical Methods Unit, a newly created branch of the Statistical Programs Division. The Statistical Methods Unit works collaboratively across BJS to bring about methodological and statistical efficiencies and innovations. The incumbent will consult and collaborate with criminal justice agency representatives to advise on projects and statistical studies; perform various statistical data collection and analysis activities; ensure data collection requirements are met; and prepare a variety of statistical products, reports, and presentations for a range of audiences. More than one candidate may be selected.
