Meetings are a tactic we use to strengthen effective campaigns and to increase our members’ ownership over the work. This training will help members structure meetings to support our on-the-ground organizing, facilitate political and strategic discussion, and engage attendees during and after the meeting.
This virtual event will take place Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 8:30 PM. RSVP below!

Ever thought about organizing your workplace, but don't know where to start? Join ATL DSA's labor committee for an in-person workplace roundtable at 711 Catherine St SW every third Monday of the month from 7:30-9:00 PM
This roundtable will be an informal discussion on workplace organizing strategies, and what challenges people are facing in their own workplaces. Be prepared to introduce yourself, and share your experiences and advice with comrades on having workplace organizing conversations, strategies, and more! This event is open to members and non-members of all levels of experience!
This month, we will be continuing Secrets of a Successful Organizer and learning from Lesson 4: Choosing an Issue, about who and where to organize on the job! You can purchase a copy of Secrets of a Successful Organizer at your next DSA event for $15.

📰 Project 2025’s Anti-Union Game Plan 📰
|
Much attention has been paid to the antidemocratic aspects of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, a radical playbook for the first 180 days of a new Trump term. But few have focused on its plan to kneecap unions and attack workers’ rights.
Corporate backers of the Donald Trump campaign have tipped their hand. In “Project 2025: Presidential Transition Project,” the Heritage Foundation unveiled its 900-page wish list for a new Trump presidency and a compliant Supreme Court.

Day one, they want to fire the best National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) general counsel we’ve had in my lifetime, Jennifer Abruzzo.
Then Project 2025 foresees reclassifying thousands of civil service employees by executive order so they can be fired and replaced with the corporations’ loyal troops.
