My last few birthdays have been bummerfests of abortion bans and bat-shit extremists. But this year, thanks to the evidence gathered by the Abortion Access Front Team, I’ve had early birthday gifts in the form of domestic terrorists finally getting sentenced for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. And the icing on my reproductive rights cake is hearing politicians finally say the word “abortion” when they vow to protect our bodily autonomy.

That said, I celebrate with cautious optimism. Saving abortion and democracy is a long haul and we need all hands on deck. On my birthday, I’m hoping you will give a gift - not to me, but to AAF, in the form of your continued support to help get us keep on doing what we do best.

Twelve states are pursuing ballot amendments to protect abortion rights, and the vaginal goon squads are pulling all kinds of dirty tricks to get those signatures purged and the initiatives disqualified. We need tons of help to get them passed in November, and that includes you! We are out there championing clinics and working 24/7 making sure Project 2025 lands in the ash heap of horrible ideas, because it’s gonna take every one of us to make sure the white Christian nationalist end game is destroyed.
