When Joe Visconti was having difficulty being placed on the gubernatorial ballot in 2014, he did not just crawl into a hole and whine. He recruited volunteers and personally stood in front of shopping malls and other places with street traffic and obtained the requisite signatures. He then participated in the debate with Republican Tom Foley and Democrat Dan Malloy and accurately told the voters that Connecticut’s spending was out of control. Too bad the people did not listen to him because he was correct.
