**A CLOSER LOOK**-Naloxone

Federal officials reported that US retail pharmacies more than doubled
the amount of dispensed prescriptions for the opioid antagonist naloxone
from 2017 to 2018. According to experts, these 557,000 prescriptions
have significantly contributed to the nation's recent dip in drug
overdose deaths. This May 2018 Health Affairs Blog post discusses
strategies for providing naloxone to communities
at
highest risk of overdose.
