At this moment, serious changes are being considered to Medicare and our nation's health care system by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Trump that would increase out-of-pocket expenses for millions of beneficiaries. At the same time, opponents of Social Security are calling for drastic reductions to benefits in order to rein in soaring deficits caused in large part by the Trump-GOP tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and multinational corporations. As a result, we anticipate hundreds of billions of dollars in benefit cuts could be on the negotiating table in Washington!
