The Chesapeake Bay is a treasured natural resource, and protecting it must always be a top priority. The University of Maryland’s Center for Environmental Science gave the Bay’s overall health a C-plus grade, the best in recent memory. This recent news is a good sign and a step in the right direction.
As we grapple with the ongoing effects of climate change, including rising sea levels and increased pollution, all elected officials must treat climate change as a severe threat. In the Office of the Comptroller, we’ve hired a Climate Resilience Director to lead our efforts. However, there’s still more to do to build a more resilient and sustainable Maryland for future generations.
Will you take a moment to add your name to show your support for environmental protection and share your thoughts on how we can work together to protect our state’s resources?
