The Nottingham Playhouse Summer Schools programme is packed with activities for all ages! Learn how to make theatre quickly with Play in a Day: Treasure Island and Play in Three Days: Grimms' Tales.

Those aged 11-18 can get some essential tips for performing on TV, film or even TikTok in the two-day Acting for Screen Workshop. You could even be part of Matilda Junior - this year’s fun-filled Musical in a Week. Don’t miss out!

An action-packed family day out is on offer at The Workhouse and Firbeck Infirmary this summer. Look around the 1824 Workhouse that was designed for 160 inmates, who lived and worked in a strictly segregated environment.

After your interactive tour inside the building, families can take part in the Summer of Play games set out in the gardens and stables. These include hula-hooping, a sensory tunnel, Hexa hoops, beanbag throwing, and for those who are feeling more active, there's badminton, a 50m racetrack and much more! The Summer of Play runs until Sunday 1 September.

'Pick Your Own' Sunflower Experience & Maize Maze

This year, along with the thousands of sunflowers and maize maze, there will be pick-your-own potatoes, gladioli and courgette, and a beautiful wildflower meadow!

Come and stroll through acres of sunflowers, take pictures at the different photo opportunities, and pick-your-own produce. Venture into the maize maze and explore the wildflower meadow. Little Schnauzer Coffee Company will be serving the most delicious food including paninis, crêpes, home-made cakes, ice-cream and hot and cold drinks, including seasonal favourites.

The experience opens on Saturday 10 August and runs for several weeks.

It’s in Nottingham invites families to embark on an exciting adventure with Robin Hood's Adventure Trail. Help the legendary Robin Hood find his merry friends hidden across various cultural venues in Nottingham city centre.

Pick up a free trail map from any of the participating venues and explore the city to uncover the hidden characters. The adventure begins from any location, but don’t miss out on finding every character! Once all the characters are found and noted, participants can head to the National Justice Museum on High Pavement to claim their special Robin Hood badge as a memento of their adventure.

Nottingham's award-winning transport system will help you to get around this summer, whether you're travelling by foot, bicycle, train, tram, bus or car.

Stagecoach’s Sherwood Arrow bus will be free every weekend throughout August, including the bank holiday. From Nottingham city centre, passengers will be able to travel to attractions including Sherwood Forest, Rufford Abbey, White Post Farm, Wheelgate Park and Clumber Park for free!
