Espaillat Secures Nearly $1 Million for NYPD Northern Manhattan Small Business Crime Prevention

NEW YORK, NY – On Monday, August 5th at 10:30 a.m. (EDT), Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13), will hold a press conference to address public safety in New York's 13th congressional district.
Rep. Espaillat successfully secured nearly $1 million during the fiscal year 2024 federal funding process to benefit the NYPD Northern Manhattan Small Business Crime Prevention Project. The community investment will be used to implement preventative security installations in support of small businesses in the region, including the Bodega Association, 181St Business Improvement District (BID), the Inwood Merchant Association, the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, Frederick Douglass Alliance, Yemeni American Merchants Association, among others. The NYPD, in coordination with each of the associations, will organize community events that aim to strengthen relationships and promote public safety through the development of neighborhood and crime prevention strategies.
During the press conference, Rep. Espaillat will be joined by local bodega owners, law enforcement, small business owners and local officials.

NEW YORK, NY – El lunes, 5 de agosto, a las 10:30 a.m. (EDT), el congresista Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) realizará una conferencia de prensa para abordar la seguridad pública en el distrito congresual 13 de Nueva York.
El Rep. Espaillat logró obtener con éxito casi $1 millón de dólares durante el proceso de financiación federal del año fiscal 2024 en beneficio del Proyecto del NYPD de Prevención del Crimen en Pequeñas Empresas del Norte de Manhattan.
