Are Illegals Registering to Vote? Sure Looks Like It

Election integrity: A staggering 14% of non-citizens interviewed in Georgia said that they are registered to vote, according to a video released by the Oversight Project on X.

  • If this ratio holds true statewide, it means that 47,000 non-citizens are registered to vote in Georgia—a state that President Biden carried by fewer than 12,000 votes in 2020.
  • Elon Musk featured the video on his X feed with the comment “extremely disturbing.” By Saturday, the video has racked up more than 54 million views.
  • After the video came out, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said that his office investigates “specific claims of voter fraud.” Oversight then sent him a letter offering to meet him anytime and to share the video.

Anti-choice: Attorney General Kris Mayes is trying to sabotage Arizona’s universal Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESAs) with restrictions the law didn’t include, writes Jason Bedrick, research fellow in the Center for Education Policy.

  • This is the latest attempt by the Left to sabotage school choice, Bedrick notes. "Fortunately, some politicians are standing up for ESA families."

Juvenile Crime Is Out of Control in Too Many Cities

Bad news: Cities around the country are seeing juvenile crime rates explode. In Phoenix, for example, they jumped by 76%  in just one year.

  • The reason? Leftist prosecutors won’t charge them as adults, writes Senior Legal Fellow Zack Smith.
  • Worse, this wrongheaded approach has “created perverse incentives for gangs to recruit juveniles to commit their most violent acts,” Smith writes.

The High Cost of Congressional Dysfunction

Waste: Believe it or not, more than 1,200 expired federal programs receive a total of $516 billion a year in taxpayer money. This amount is up from 1,100 last year.

  • Some of these programs expired as far back as the 1980s, notes Senior Policy Analyst David Ditch. The findings come from the Congressional Budget Office.
  • “This isn't about $516 billion of waste. It's $516 billion of neglect," he writes.

Check out Ditch’s post on X, where he explains what this all means, here.
