Hey team --

The speed and scope of the first three COVID-19 emergency relief bills was truly unprecedented. But although House Democrats fought hard to ensure this legislation put workers, small businesses, and public health first, there are still many pressing needs in South Jersey that must be addressed.

That's why I'm so proud to let you know that CARES 1.5 Interim Relief Package has passed and is now law. Add your name now to show your support for this additional, much-need aid for small businesses, hospitals, and testing.

This fourth bill will finally increase COVID-19 testing capacity. If we're going to safely re-open this country, then it's essential everyone who needs to can get tested. It also includes additional funding for our hospitals so we can take better care of our frontline medical workers, securing them the supplies they need to deliver the quality care South Jerseyans deserve.

CARES 1.5 also provides another $310 billion in funding to help replenish the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) so small businesses have the resources to keep the lights on and pay their workers through this difficult time. We've also ensured that community-based lenders and mid-sized banks have access to this critical funding.

With another relief package battle on the horizon, we need to show Congress -- and this president -- that the people of our country support COVID-19 legislation that puts public health, our workers, and small businesses first. But let me be clear: I am heading back to work on what will be our fifth piece of legislation to address this crisis. The progress we've made so far is remarkable, but there's still so much more to be done. From additional funding for state and local governments, to more comprehensive support for essential workers, CARES 2 will be even more transformative and far-reaching than anything we've passed so far.

More soon,

Donald
