Some things should NEVER be red. For instance, nobody wants to sport a giant red sunburn after a day at the beach. Red flags mean DANGER. And being “in the red” financially isn’t fun, either.

But what’s the one thing that we think should NEVER, EVER, EVER be red?

The United States Senate.

If Republicans flip the Senate red, they’ll be able to implement a full federal ban on abortion, gut Medicare and Social Security, and continue chipping away at the guardrails of democracy.
