You all know about Project 2025 by now. Trump’s plan to destroy the federal government as we know it, and the process he’ll use to gut the Military of career officers and staff loyal to the Constitution, to be replaced by loyalists and political appointees whose only loyalty is to Trump.

What you might not have heard yet is the kind of folks Trump would replace them with. About a week ago, Trump said he’d like to see NASCAR drivers and football coaches serving as Generals in the Military. Said there wasn’t much difference between them.

What an absolute crock.

There’s a reason we appoint Generals and Admirals the way we do — based on service, on their record, on merit. We do it because that is how we get the best of the best in the positions they need to be to lead the most powerful Military on earth. In the most complex threat environment in a generation or more, this is the time we need those Generals and Admirals most.

And no man, no one in the country, has done more institutional damage to the United States Military — to the Generals and Admirals and the fighting men and women defending our country — than Donald Trump himself.

A second term would be an absolute disaster. And we have to do everything we can to defeat Trump at the ballot box.

VoteVets will lead the charge. But we need you with us.

Please, if you’ve got a few dollars to spare, could you make a donation to VoteVets today and support our work defeating Trump and preventing Project 2025 from ever coming to pass?
