My All-American Flag Act passed with bipartisan support and, with President Biden’s signature, has officially become law!

American flags that fly over government buildings should always be 100% made in the USA. Now, they are.

It’s been a dream of a lifetime to carry our common-sense IL-17 values to Congress, and it’s my responsibility to find ways to work across the aisle for any issue that involves more jobs and a better life for our working families. And with your support, my work is just beginning.

That’s not just a slogan, but a purpose, friend.

My Dad and I put up an American flag ahead of the holiday season, and as many of you know, the process is much more successful with determination, brawn, and some patriotic songs.

Here’s what isn’t successful: under current law, American flags – paid for by American taxpayers – aren’t required to be made in America.

I was shocked by this, and I’m leading the charge in Congress to make sure this practice stops here. 

We have some of the best workers in the world right here in IL-17 and the surrounding area, ready and excited to make the flags that symbolize our freedom and accompany our service members into battle.

And I’m going to make sure they and other Americans get the opportunity to produce our most treasured emblem.
