I’ve been on the campaign trail for Vice President Kamala Harris, spending time with voters and advocates talking about why she's the best candidate to protect and restore reproductive freedom, and the person we need in the White House.
I hosted a roundtable and rally this week in Pittsburgh with my sister-in-service Summer Lee, highlighting the Vice President’s record of fighting for our reproductive rights — rights that could be taken away if Donald Trump and JD Vance are put into positions of power and a nationwide abortion ban is passed.
In Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and all across the country, abortion justice and our fundamental freedoms are on the ballot — in blue states, red states, purple states, you name it. When reproductive rights are under attack every day, Vice President Harris has been a powerful champion and effective messenger for abortion justice, IVF, birth control, and more.
As she puts it, we are not going back.

When I think about this election, I think of my mother Sandy, who gave me my roots and my wings, who took me into the voting booth with her and reminded me that we are powerful.
I also think of my daughter Cora, and imagine her growing up in a country with fewer rights than my mother fought for her to have.
Under Trump and Vance, our power, our rights, and our loved ones will be impacted. Project 2025 is not a threat, it’s a promise.
With Vice President Harris at the top of the ticket — as a tribute to my departed mother, for the future of my teenage daughter, and on behalf of everyone who has ever been left out and left behind — I will fight like hell for a better future.
Yours in service,
Ayanna
