Republicans Condemn Biden-Harris Plea Deal for 9/11 Terrorists

On Thursday, news broke that the Biden-Harris administration cut a plea deal with the masterminds of the 9/11 attacks, depriving the families of the victims the justice for which they have so long awaited.

Chairwoman Stefanik condemned the Biden-Harris Administration’s shameful plea deal with terrorists who orchestrated the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Chairwoman Stefanik stated –

"On September 11, 2001, as the world watched the deadliest terrorist attack in American history, the American people rallied together in support of our nation and vowed to never forget.

The Biden-Harris Administration just shattered that promise and betrayed the American people. It is sickening that the Biden-Harris Department of Justice struck a plea deal with the al-Qaeda terrorists behind these horrific terrorist attacks. From the Iranian regime, to Hamas, and now 9/11 masterminds, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris continue to placate terrorists instead of holding them accountable for the atrocities they commit. This pattern of appeasement will only lead to more violence.

The families of the nearly 3,000 Americans killed on 9/11 and thousands of first responders who died from 9/11 health related illnesses, our service members, including 10th Mountain Division Soldiers, who gave their lives to eliminate terrorists like the ones that the Biden-Harris Administration are negotiating with, and the American people deserve a President that will honor their legacy and uphold the promise to never forget."

Alison Esposito (Candidate for NY-18) took to X to express her outrage and condemnation stating –

“The United States does not negotiate with terrorists and as such terrorists should NOT be afforded plea deals. Due to their heinous and cowardly actions, we have lost thousands of Americans. Those who died on September 11th as well as those we lost due to and still battling the cancers and illnesses as a result of those attacks. This is an insult to every American and the hundreds of first responders and civilians who laid down their lives to rescue their fellow Americans. Absolutely disgusting. The Joe Biden-Kamala Harris Admin should have shown strong leadership and should never have allowed this.”

Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) released the following statement –

"2,977 moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends and neighbors didn't go home on 9/11. But the mastermind behind these attacks gets to escape their fate. How is this justice? How could the Biden-Harris Administration agree to this?"

Rep. Anthony D’Espositio (NY-04) told ([link removed]) the New York Post:

"The terrorists responsible for the thousands of Americans murdered on September 11th should not be afforded an opportunity to live out the rest of their days at the expense of American taxpayers while the families of their victims are left to pick up the pieces"

Rep. Mike Lawler (NY-17) told ([link removed]) the New York Post:

"It is outrageous and unacceptable that the mastermind of 9/11 and two of his accomplices have been given plea deals. This is a slap in the face to every family that lost a loved one on 9/11 and since, and to every survivor who continues to struggle with health effects from that terrible day, especially the brave first responders who rushed into burning buildings and toiled on the pile."

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) told ([link removed]) the New York Post:

"We owe it to the victims, their families and those 9/11 heroes who continue dying today from related illnesses to pursue the death penalty."

The National GOP is All In for Alison Esposito in NY-18

On Wednesday, National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chair Richard Hudson joined Fox News to discuss the state of play in New York. Chairman Hudson stated that New York would not only re-elect all of its incumbent Congressional Republicans, but that they would also pick up a seat in NY-18 with Alison Esposito.

Alison Esposito is a 25-year veteran of NYPD, and is the former running mate of Gubernatorial Candidate Lee Zeldin. As the former Lt. Governor candidate, Alison carried NY-18 in the 2022 election.

Alison was named to the NRCC’s ‘Young Guns’ list earlier this week – a highly coveted endorsement by candidates running all across the country! The NRCC Young Guns program mentors and supports candidates in races across the country and works to provide them with the necessary tools to run successful, winning campaigns against their Democratic opponents. Being added to this competitive list also requires candidates to work towards specific goals and meet benchmarks throughout the election cycle to ensure their campaigns remain competitive, well-funded and communicative within their districts.

Led by Rep. Brandon Williams, GOP Lawmakers Restore Union Station Flag

During Prime Minister Netanyahu’s address on July 24th, Radical Far Left Pro Hamas mobs violently protested outside of the Capitol attacking police officers, destroying property, and waving Hamas flags. These protestors tore down the American flag in front of Washington D.C.’s Union Station and not only put up a Hamas flag in its place, but burned the American flag for the world to see.

Noticing the lack of an American flag on his way home from voting, Congressman Brandon Williams (NY-22) recruited multiple members of Congress, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, and military veterans to restore flags to their rightful place outside of Union Station.

Brandon Williams (NY-22) commented –

"You can't tear down government property, deface government property, and destroy government property. And that's what happened. And it should be met with that kind of force, and make this nonsense stop."
