Perhaps you remember hearing the story of a shooting at Oxford High School in 2021. A teen killed four students and injured many others. His drawings had told us that he was clearly disturbed, yet no one did anything.

Now, a judge has decided that the parents need to be in jail. Oakland County Judge Cheryl Matthews presided over the case and explained, “These convictions are not about poor parenting. These convictions confirm repeated acts, or lack of acts, that could have halted an oncoming runaway train.”
