Last night, after more votes were counted in our race, we pulled within 89 votes of our opponent. Just 89 votes! And we’re expecting more votes to be counted today. That means the work’s not over.
This weekend, we have all hands on deck, contacting voters who still have an opportunity to have their ballots counted. We’re also preparing for a recount because any election this close receives an automatic recount.
As Democrats, we believe that every vote should be counted and all voices must be heard – win or lose – and our campaign is going to ensure that happens. But to do that, we need resources for staff, volunteers, and, yes, even lawyers.
