Now, John, The Epoch Times’ influence is growing. Recently they announced they are considering a new journalism school and now, they are entering the faith-based movie market with a new film starring Cuba Gooding Jr.

Yesterday, The Epoch Times released “The Firing Squad,” a drama starring Cuba Gooding Jr. about drug smugglers who find God behind bars.

This move into faith-based films aims to tap into a lucrative market, which conservative filmmakers claim counters Hollywood’s “liberal” agenda.

Here’s why this matters: a feature film with a well-known actor like Gooding Jr. legitimizes The Epoch Times to the public, especially evangelicals who may already be inclined to believe their far-right conspiracies.
