COUNTY FAIRS
On Saturday, July 27, Gov. Hogan attended the Cecil County Fair!
Gov. Hogan: “I enjoyed having the chance to talk to farmers, fairgoers, and 4H’ers.
These amazing kids have spent months getting their projects ready for the fair, and it was great to see the results of all their hard work.”

Next, Gov. Hogan stopped by the Harford County Farm Fair.
Gov. Hogan: “It was great to catch up with local community leaders and congratulate ag students on a job well done. We also got to watch the Hot Dog Pig Races!
Maryland’s agricultural heritage is an incredibly important part of our state. I was glad to be able to celebrate that today with so many 4-H and FFA students.”

Gov. Hogan then rounded out his day of county fair visits at the 127th Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair.
Gov. Hogan: “While in Carroll County today, I had the opportunity to speak with local residents and hear their concerns about the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project. I’ve expressed my strong opposition to the plan.
This project blindsided residents and local leaders in Carroll, Baltimore, and Frederick Counties, and will have devastating impacts on their homes, farms, and communities. I want to thank all the concerned citizens who have spoken out about this.”

MEETING WITH THE MARYLAND’S JEWISH COMMUNITY
Gov. Hogan: “Thank you to over 100 Marylanders who came out this morning for a meet and greet for the Jewish community in Silver Spring. Just this week, as American flags were being burned in DC, Israeli flags were being ripped down in Silver Spring.
It’s never been more important to stand with Israel and Maryland’s Jewish communities. It will be one of my core priorities every day in the United States Senate.”

COUNTRY OVER PARTY
Sunday, July 28 marked the seventh anniversary of the day Senator John McCain went against his party and gave the big “thumbs down” against repealing Obamacare.
Gov. Hogan: “Seven years ago, Senator John McCain put people over politics. He gave the big thumbs down and protected health care for millions—I was proud to stand with him.
We need more leaders in Washington who are willing to put country over party.”

A Personal Message from Governor Larry Hogan:
[link removed]
Hi, it’s Governor Larry Hogan.
When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.

So if you can chip in a donation of $25 or more, it will go a long way in helping me continue building a strong campaign.
For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!
[link removed]
Will you join me today and help end the dysfunction in Washington?
Thank you,
Larry Hogan
