Hi team,
I’m in the car with Chailuv right now, in between doing “call time” and heading towards an event this afternoon.
You might wonder, “Jessica, what the heck is call time?” Well, call time is something that’s necessary and so important in close races like mine, but I do it differently than your typical candidate.
Usually, call time is spent calling big-time donors, but what I’ve found most effective is calling people I already have relationships with, folks who have donated small amounts to my race, and other activists, organizations, and everything in-between.
However, that means that we have to hustle so much harder for every dollar than my opponent does. When he calls up one mega-donor, he can bring in thousands of dollars. Meanwhile, our campaign’s average donation is not only much smaller, but more of our donations come from inside the district.
That’s all to say, our campaign is built on the hard work and dedication of real people just like you, friend, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
If you can and if you’re feeling inspired, why not invest $50, or even just $20 in this movement we’ve created so we can flip the House and send Kevin Kiley packing?
If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
— Jessica
