Just over one year ago, Ruben and Sydney welcomed their daughter Isla to the world.

It was one of the happiest moments of their lives.

But the moment they learned Sydney was pregnant was also while a Civil War-era law in Arizona threatened a near-total ban on abortion. If anything went wrong with the pregnancy, Sydney might not have been able to get the care she needed.

Make no mistake: Under Republican control, the U.S. Senate would not hesitate to vote in favor of a national abortion ban. Millions of women across the country live without access abortion, or safe access to reproductive health care. Millions more would lose it if people like Kari Lake had her way.
