CLICK HERE to DONATE TODAY   Texas Secures Historic $1.4 Billion Settlement with Meta Over Privacy Violations This week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg learned that Big Tech is not above the law—especially in states with strong conservative leadership. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a landmark $1.4 billion settlement with Meta for violating user privacy. According to the Texas Scorecard, "Paxton’s office noted that the settlement is the largest ever obtained from an action by a single state and the largest privacy settlement secured by an attorney general." While this is a victory for all Americans who value their privacy, Facebook's actions raise additional concerns. The platform made headlines for allegedly interfering with the upcoming November election by censoring a photo of President Donald Trump during July's assassination attempt. Facebook claimed 'Independent Fact Checkers reviewed a similar photo and said it was altered in a way that could mislead people.' Facebook later stated this was an error, yet users also noted that Google searches for 'Assassination of President Trump' yielded no suggested search results—nothing to see here... Tarrant County School Board President Stands Up for Free Speech Recently, two seniors at Keller High School were asked by district staff to repaint their senior parking spaces, which featured designs honoring President Donald Trump. However, this decision was quickly challenged. Keller ISD School Board President Dr. Charles Randklev responded decisively on Facebook, a post that went viral thanks to @LibsofTikTok on X. Dr. Randklev stated: "Let me be clear. There is nothing offensive or controversial about respectfully painting or honoring a current or former President of the United States. We will take action to ensure that students can honor President Trump as the 45th, and soon-to-be 47th, President of the United States, as they wish." In a time when conservatives and the First Amendment are under attack on public school and university campuses nationwide, it's refreshing to see bold leadership like this.
