Hi John,
Last week, one of our larger funders told us that they would no longer support our work, due to our outspoken position on Gaza.
For some organisations, getting such a message would mean only one thing – they would be forced to back down, and stay quiet on one of the greatest injustices taking place in the world today. But we’re proud of what we’ve done to challenge the crimes being committed in Gaza and our own government’s complicity in it. So our only option, if we don’t want this loss of funding to affect our work, is to find more people like you who believe in what we’re doing and who are willing to help fill the shortfall.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you today. Can you support our campaigns by becoming a member? Membership contributions give us the long-term stability we need to swiftly address new international issues and take meaningful action when it matters most – and they are essential for continuing our ongoing campaign for a ceasefire in Gaza. With just £3 a month, you can help us stay independent and drive our hard-hitting campaigns forward.

With the help of supporters like you, we have already helped to commission new legal work on arms sales, brought media and political attention to this issue and organised two teach-ins for activists. More than 20,000 people have joined our call for the UK to end arms sales to Israel, demonstrating the powerful public support behind our efforts.
News reports suggest the UK government is moving closer to banning some arms to Israel. And now we’re challenging the government’s policy – announced just this week – of building closer trade ties with Israel. We need to push them to end complicity in Israel's war crimes once and for all. Few other organisations would have been able to develop this work so rapidly. But to remain nimble, outspoken, and effective, we need you.
To help us maintain the ability to work on the ongoing crisis in Gaza and respond to issues that really matter, please consider becoming a member today for just £3 per month. As a member you'll receive our magazine ‘Ninety-Nine’ three times a year and you can have a say in the future of Global Justice Now.

It is easy to feel powerless when we witness the daily horrors inflicted on the people of Gaza. But there is a powerful, growing movement of people determined to end this. Thank you for considering membership with Global Justice Now.
In solidarity,
Nick Dearden
