Happy August! As the summer winds down, my office is gearing up for a busy month ahead. My team and I are actively meeting with community members and working to address the needs of the Second District. This is also a big month for youth engagement in my office as we rapidly approach the application deadlines for my Fall Internship Program and the IL-02 Congressional Youth Cabinet.
Park Forest Youth Fair
Programs for youth are one of the best investments we can make toward the well-being and development of young people in our community. My office was honored to attend the Park Forest Youth Day to share resources with families in the community.
Fall Internship Deadline
Fall internship applications are open for my district offices and my office in Washington! Internships are open to college and graduate students as well as recent graduates. My office will be accepting applications until August 15.

IL-02 Congressional Youth Cabinet

My Congressional Youth Cabinet is currently looking for high school juniors and seniors who are looking to get involved with their community. This is a great way for young people in our community to learn how the federal government works. Applicants have until August 23 to apply for this year-long program.
