Friend, I'm not like most candidates running for Senate.

I've had to work harder than most, sweat harder than most, and pound the pavement (or turf) harder than most, all of which led me to a 5-year career in the NFL. My football career taught me to be a team player and, most importantly, that none of our biggest fights are won alone.

That work ethic and dedication to working with others to accomplish a shared goal are what prepared me to go on to be a voting rights lawyer. It's what fueled my work in the Obama administration, and it's what helped me win against an 11-term incumbent and flip my congressional district blue for the first time.

Ted Cruz, on the other hand? He's nothing but a me-guy. And I've taken on guys a lot tougher than him, friend. Polls are showing we're tied, and we have real momentum to finally send Cruz packing.

But I can't win here without a strong, dedicated team on my side. I need to raise another $26,153 today to stay on track to reach my daily fundraising goal, so I'm personally asking, friend: Will you chip in $5 now to fuel this campaign to victory?

Together, we have what it takes to retire Ted Cruz once and for all. Let's do it!

– Colin
